Thieves of Egypt Solitaire

How to Play Thieves of Egypt Solitaire?

Egypt Solitaire is an intriguingly complex card game and is considered the cousin of Forty Thieves Solitaire with its twists. It uses two standard 52-card decks, and in this version of solitaire, a player requires careful strategy and patience to win. Indeed, the rich theme and structured layout of this game make it very appealing for solitaire gamers who enjoy deeper challenges.

To set up the game, 54 cards are dealt into ten tableau piles, the first pile containing one card, the second pile two cards, the third three cards, and so on, with the top card of each pile face up. The remainder forms the stockpile, to be used during the game. The goal is to move all cards into eight foundation piles, one for each suit, in order from Ace to King.

Cards in the tableau build down in descending order and must alternate colors. Sequences can be moved together, but they have to be in proper descending order and alternating colors. Empty tableau spaces can be filled with any available card or sequence, offering flexibility for reorganizing the tableau. The stockpile adds a layer of suspense and opportunity, as players draw cards to uncover new moves and advance toward their goal.

Thieves of Egypt Solitaire is one of those puzzle games that involve much forethought and strategy in each move-one where luck and skill together come up with a fresh game each time, challenging enough to keep players' interests and fun going. If one is just starting with card games or has been enjoying these for ages, Thieves of Egypt presents a richly rewarding experience bound to try the card gamer extraordinaire inside you: can you trick the thieves into beating the shuffle? Give it a try and see!
