Kings in the Corner Solitaire Games
How to Play Kings in the Corner Solitaire?
King in the Corner is a fun and exciting, fast-action card game incorporating strategic elements from both solitaire and multi-player action. It's really easy to pick up yet quite challenging to perfect, which actually makes it the ideal game for any age player. Using a regular deck of 52 cards, Kings in the Corner is versatile for play alone or with friends in some pretty entertaining games.
First shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player to play the game. If you are playing alone, you can play against yourself. The rest of the cards form a draw pile. Deal four cards face-up in a cross formation-the tableau's foundation piles-and place them on top, below, to the left, and right of the gameplay area. The corners of the cross are left open, and these will be the locations of the Kings when they eventually play out.
The objective of the game is to clear your hand by making plays onto the tableau. Cards in the tableau are built down in rank and should alternate colors. As for the plays, an 8 of red color could be placed only on a black 9. But if a King appears, then one will place it in one of the four corner vacant spaces, starting a new tableau pile. Besides the moves, a player can move complete sequences or single cards from one pile to another to open up new play possibilities.
Kings in the Corner Solitaire is an appealing combination of strategy and luck, offering fast rounds and endless replayability. Coupled with its unique features of the Kings making cornerstones, this creates a whole new level of difficulty; however, its simplicity in rules makes it novice-friendly. It's one of those games which would drive you to continuously play solo or with friends until you get back to the corners. Give it a shot and see in what time you could become the king of the corners!
