Golf Solitaire
About Golf Solitaire
Golf Solitaire is a fast-paced and addictive card game that involves both luck and strategy. It got its name from the sport of golf because of the low score objective, and this variation of solitaire challenges players to clear the tableau by moving cards to the foundation pile. Played with a standard 52-card deck, Golf Solitaire is perfect for quick, engaging sessions that test your problem-solving skills.
How to Setup Golf Solitaire?
To set up the game, 35 cards are dealt in a face-up manner into seven tableau columns, each containing five cards. The remainder forms the stockpile, the top card of which is turned face-up to start the foundation pile. The aim is always to clear all cards from the tableau to the foundation pile by playing cards that are one rank higher or lower than the current top card of the foundation pile. For example, if the top card of the foundation shows a 7, you may play either a 6 or an 8 from the tableau.
How to Play Golf Solitaire?
In Golf Solitaire, suits and colors do not matter, and only the top card of each tableau column is available for play. When no more moves are possible, you can draw the next card from the stockpile to the foundation and continue playing. The game ends when all tableau cards are cleared or no more moves remain. The fewer cards left in the tableau, the better your score. This meets the "low score" concept of golf.
Conclusion About Golf Solitaire
Golf Solitaire is an addictive yet entertaining game that is so easy to pick up but tough to master. Its fast-paced nature and simple rules make it a favorite among casual players, while its depth appeals to players who enjoy thinking through their moves carefully. Whether you are a seasoned solitaire player or just looking for a relaxing game, Golf Solitaire offers the perfect mix of challenge and entertainment. Give it a try and see if you can clear the course!
