How to Play Clock Solitaire?

Clock Solitaire is a fun and graphically interesting card game in which the setup of the cards takes on the shape of the face of a clock. This variation of solitaire, with its use of a standard 52-card deck, is both easy to lay out and simple to play, which makes it quite ideal for any age. In fact, though it's almost all a chance game, the uniqueness of its design and ease in playing the game provide ample fun.

To set up the Clock Solitaire, the deck is shuffled and dealt into 13 piles, placing four cards in each. Place the piles in a circle, like the hours of the clock, with one pile in the middle for the "12 o'clock" position. The cards are laid down facing down, and the goal is to show all the cards, putting them in their correct positions before the moves run out.

First, the top card from the center pile should be flipped over. Each card indicates an hour on the clock, with Aces being 1 o'clock, 2s being 2 o'clock, and so on, with Kings going in the center pile. The open card then moves to its suit pile and flips the next card on top of the said pile. It continues until all cards are flipped over or a draw of the fourth King stops the game.

Clock Solitaire is a game of pure luck since the outcome already has been determined by the time the cards were shuffled. Despite simplicity, it is an addictively entertaining game that is one short and sweet diversion.
